Welcome to MyPlopPlop ("we," "our," or "us"), a service operated by 48HoursReady. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the MyPlopPlop platform, including our website (myplopplop.com), mobile application, and all related services (collectively, the "Platform").

By using our Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the Platform.

1. Information We Collect

Personal Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Name, phone number, and 4-digit PIN when you create an account
  • Profile Information: Language preference, profile photo (optional), and account role (customer, merchant, rider)
  • Merchant Information: Store name, business category, business address, operating hours, and delivery options
  • Rider Information: Vehicle type, license details, and availability status
  • Recipient Information: Names, phone numbers, and addresses of people you send deliveries to (for diaspora services)
  • Referral Information: Referral codes used or generated

Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type, and unique device identifiers
  • Usage Data: Pages viewed, features used, time spent on the Platform, and interaction patterns
  • Location Data: GPS coordinates when using ride services or delivery tracking (with your permission)
  • Transaction Data: Order history, payment amounts, wallet balances, and Sol group activity

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Process orders, deliveries, and ride requests
  • Facilitate marketplace transactions between customers and merchants
  • Operate Sol (Rotating Savings) groups and manage financial contributions
  • Process payments through MonCash and other supported payment methods
  • Enable real-time GPS tracking for rides and deliveries
  • Send order confirmations, delivery updates, and ride notifications
  • Calculate and distribute referral commissions
  • Improve our Platform, features, and user experience
  • Prevent fraud and ensure platform security
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Information Sharing

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Between Platform Users: When you place an order, your name and delivery address are shared with the merchant and rider. Riders can see your pickup/dropoff locations.
  • Sol Group Members: Your name and contribution status are visible to other members of your Sol groups.
  • Payment Processors: Transaction details are shared with MonCash and other payment providers to process payments.
  • Service Providers: We may share data with third-party services that help us operate the Platform (hosting, analytics, notifications).
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Payment Information

MyPlopPlop uses a wallet-based payment system. Payment processing is handled by third-party providers including MonCash. We do not store your complete payment credentials on our servers. All payment transactions are processed securely through our payment partners.

Your wallet balance, transaction history, and Sol group contributions are stored securely in our database to provide you with accurate account information.

5. Location Data

We collect location data in the following situations:

  • Ride Services: Real-time GPS tracking during active rides to enable route navigation and ETA calculations
  • Delivery Tracking: Location of riders during active deliveries so customers can track their orders
  • Store Discovery: Your general location to show nearby stores and merchants

Location sharing is only active when you are using these features. You can disable location services through your device settings, though this may limit certain Platform features.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information:

  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Secure password hashing (bcrypt)
  • JWT-based authentication with expiring tokens
  • Firewall-protected servers
  • Regular security updates and monitoring

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, financial, or regulatory purposes.

Transaction records and Sol group history may be retained for up to 5 years for financial reporting and dispute resolution purposes.

You have the right to:

  • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate personal information through your profile settings
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data
  • Data Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format

9. Children's Privacy

MyPlopPlop is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
